"Your life's mission is about becoming the REAL you."
About Dr. Redd
Dr. Phillip Redd, DO, specializes in treating Cognitive Decline or early Alzheimer’s Disease, controlling Thyroid conditions and treating Type II Diabetes. He is an osteopathic physician (DO) with an overwhelming interest in helping people get well. He realizes the limitations of both the mainstream medical model, as well as the alternative or integrative medical model, but believes elements of both can be harnessed to enhance and optimize health. He understands that unless our cells are healthy we cannot be healthy. His philosophy is that by accepting the truth about our bodies, with our body's innate, God-given ability, we can heal.
Currently, Dr. Redd is in full-time functional medical practice, taking a holistic and hands-on approach to each individual's physiology, in order to harness the body's ability to heal itself. He frequently utilizes Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, including the Fascial Distortion Model among others to diagnose and treat pain. This is based on the structure-function model. He has worked in hospitals and in conventional medical and alternative health clinics. He have served in underdeveloped countries and worked in military clinics as well, and with this experience Dr. Redd states, “I feel I can offer perspective on how disease and dis-ease affect each of us on various levels – physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual.” He sincerely believes it takes attention to each of these facets to find healing.
Dr. Redd and his wife, Cherry Ann, and their six children have lived in Idaho 10 years. Dr. Redd says, “Idaho is my home state and we love it here! I enjoy many things including reading and learning, various sports and athletics, the outdoors, and just relaxing with my wife and family. My two daughters and four sons teach me so much!”
He also states, “Life is challenging at times and poor health is one of those obstacles each of us will likely face at one time or another. My ideal patient is one who will put their health, especially their brain health, NUMBER ONE in their lives above everything else. I mean, even above your spouse, kids, grandkids, your ailing grandparent, job, travels, finances, whatever. This is because if your health isn’t number one, if you lose your mental faculties for whatever the reason, then these people or things will be and mean NOTHING to you. Nor will THEY have you there for them, and YOU will be more of a burden than a help. I believe your life's mission is to become the REAL you. Isn’t it time you say YES to yourself? Isn’t it time you take care of yourself for once? This happens as you face life's challenges head-on and make the tough commitments to overcome them. Do it now!”
